BIOGRAPHY

Ilya is a composer of Belarusian-Polish origin, born in Brest in 1997. His practice brings together music, sound, visual art, performance, and pedagogy, covering a wide range of forms and cultural contexts. He became interested in guitar through anime and the music of Linkin Park, which sparked intense self-teaching and the first wave of his musical authorship.
Since 2012, he has been playing guitar and composing music in Guitar Pro within the rock, metal, post-rock, and punk genres. Participation in local rock bands broadened his tastes and led to his first collaborations. Inspired by Skrillex and other authors of popular electronic music of the mid-2010s, he began working with Ableton Live and, leaving his engineering studies, moved to Poland, where he studied sound engineering—first in Częstochowa, then in Nysa, enrolling in the jazz faculty of the local university. During this period, mastering jazz composition, working with vocals, developing an interest in orchestral and hip-hop music, and expanding his stylistic range through collaborations with fellow students and artists became key to his growth.
Continuing his education in Mittweida, Germany, he explored spatial perception of sound and its artistic potential in ideal acoustic conditions. His music from that time is marked by introversion due to repeated migration. Works from this period can be heard in Niedoma, Rotherave, Stork Tales, and LLHH. After moving to Chemnitz, he began stage and production activities, took part in artistic and social initiatives (Sprich aus, Berliner Telegraph), and collaborated with Polish and German artists.
In 2018, he moved to Prague, where he began combining music production with the role of producer, developed an interest in lo-fi sound, and moved closer to the context of contemporary art and manifesto practices. Returning to Poland, he completed his studies with the diploma project Imaginative Mixing, in which he proposed methods of artistic mixing as a form of subjective expression.
Since 2020, he has worked as an arranger and producer in the ¾ UDGS and SDS studios, later shifting to original work, blues improvisations, lo-fi house, video, and working with children. Later he moved to Warsaw, where he actively engaged with the local scene, joined the collectives Dzieje Drugaja and Natur, and began releasing music under his own name—exploring electronic music in the context of full-scale compositional art, with a strong focus on ambient, electronica, IDM, trance, house, and experimental genres.
He has worked on theater and performance projects, as well as with the Warsaw Freedom Orchestra on the piece Everything Will Resolve Itself. In 2024, he focused on synthesizer sound, breakbeat, trance, and performative practice, while also collaborating with pop artists, combining experimental methods with commercial expressiveness. In 2025, he continues active work in theater, film, and the electronic scene, exploring the philosophy of sound and the role of AI in composition. One of the first experiments in this direction was the audio essay The Voiced Chronology of Electronic Music Genres, which used AI as a tool for archiving and interpreting musical styles. He has also developed an interest in minimal house and dub techno music.
